We'll meet Jewish generals and courtiers who were also poets and philosophers; the first Jewish woman since Deborah to express herself in poetry; the mutual influences of Judaism and Islam that gave birth to Sufi mysticism and kabbala and the differences between Spanish Jews and the rest of Europe when it came to the dilemma of martyrdom or conversion. 

 

Not forgetting the heroes and heroines of the expulsion - Don Isaac Abravanel, Donna Gracia and the Duke of Naxos, Shlomo Molcho and more.
